Christiane Gebühr is the Administrative Assistant for the ‘Poverty Reduction, Equity, and Development’ and ‘Social and Behavioral Approaches to Global Problems’ Research Areas at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. She has been a part of the PEGNet team since its inception in 2005 and is responsible for the financial administration of PEGNet.
Kacana Sipangule Khadjavi
Kacana Sipangule Khadjavi first joined PEGNet in 2013 as a research economist and has directed the network since 2018. She is also a Postdoctoral researcher in the Poverty Reduction, Equity and Development research area at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
Anika Schumann joined PEGNet as a Research Assistant in February 2019. She is currently completing her Bachelor Studies in Socio-Economics at the University of Kiel. At PEGNet she is responsible for the creation of a database on experts, the provision of assistance with the PEGNet conference organization and the maintenance of the PEGNet website. She previously held internship and student assistant positions at Bündnis Eine Welt Schleswig-Holstein.
Julia Steinhauer joined PEGNet as a Research Assistant in December 2018. She is currently completing her Master Studies in Sustainability, Society and the Environment at the University of Kiel. Her responsibilities within PEGNet include providing assistance with the PEGNet conference organization, creating the PEGNet newsletters and maintaining the Social Media channels. She previously completed internships in the program Macroeconomic Advice for Poverty Reduction at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Rwanda and at the NGO Centinelas del Agua in Mexico.
Rainer Thiele has been a PEGNet team member since 2005 when the network was established. He currently heads the Poverty Reduction, Equity and Development research area at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and is an Adjunct Professor at the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel.
Manfred Wiebelt is a founding member of PEGNet and served as the network's Director from 2005 to 2018. He is also a senior researcher in the Poverty Reduction, Equity and Development research area at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and an Adjunct Professor at the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel.
