Milena Baumert

Milena Baumert joined PEGNet as a Research Assistant in April 2020. She is studying the Master degree „Sustainability, Society and the Environment“ at Kiel University and also holds a first degree in Medicine from Göttingen University. Her responsibilities within PEGNet include providing assistance with the PEGNet conference organization, creating the PEGNet newsletters and maintaining the website. She has previously worked, studied, done internships and volunteered in projects in the field of medicine, environment and education in countries across the globe.
Christiane Gebühr

Christiane Gebühr is the Administrative Assistant for the ‘Poverty Reduction, Equity, and Development’ and ‘Social and Behavioral Approaches to Global Problems’ Research Areas at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. She has been a part of the PEGNet team since its inception in 2005 and is responsible for the financial administration of PEGNet.

Anika Schumann joined PEGNet as a Research Assistant in February 2019. She recently completed her Bachelor Studies in Socio-Economics and is now doing her Master in Environmental Management at the University of Kiel. Her responsibilities within PEGNet include providing assistance with the PEGNet conference organization, creating the PEGNet newsletters and maintaining the PEGNet website. She previously held internship and student assistant positions at Bündnis Eine Welt Schleswig-Holstein.
Frauke Steglich

Frauke Steglich joined PEGNet as a Managing Director in November 2020. She has been working as a researcher at the Kiel Institute since 2016 and is a doctoral candidate in Quantitative Economics at Kiel University. She is a research fellow at the Kiel Centre for Globalization (KCG) and the Research Network Sustainable Global Supply Chains. Her research interests lie in the field of empirical international economics and development, with a focus on foreign direct investment, global value chains, and corporate social responsibility.
Rainer Thiele

Rainer Thiele has been a PEGNet team member since 2005 when the network was established. He currently heads the Poverty Reduction, Equity and Development research area at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy and is an Adjunct Professor at the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel.
